HEllo and Welcome!

Beginning your journey in therapy can be difficult and overwhelming…perhaps even a little scary. It takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable and explore some of the most difficult aspects of your life. That’s why it is so important to find someone who you can trust and feels like a good fit for you.

So, let’s begin with me introducing myself - My name is Megan Carr. I have been providing therapeutic services across the country since 2015 in a number of settings within various communities. I am a mother of 5 and a new grandmother, a proud military spouse, and an advocate for children, and military members and their families. I am most at peace in the outdoors, especially near water and I enjoy physical fitness, traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new places and cultures.

I look forward to getting to know you as well…

My Approach

MY GOAL

I graduated from Walden University with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also graduated with two specialties in Addictions and Military Culture and Families. I have worked in Acute, Residential, Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs, Medication Assisted Treatment and Rehabilitation Facilities, Juvenile Probation, Drug and DUI Court, Children and Youth Services, Coordinated socio-emotional services for youth at the YWCA, and have provided intensive in-home behavioral health treatment as well as mobile response and stabilization services. I have worked with individuals as young as toddlers to seniors. I have a great deal of experience in providing individual, couples, family, and group services and I am always working to continue my education and certifications throughout the field. Currently, I am also enrolled in my last semester of the Doctorate of Behavioral Health Program at Arizona State University.

I use a strengths-based approach in therapy and utilize an eclectic style to meet clients where they are and assist them in obtaining the goals they have set to achieve. I feel an open approach provides my clients with the opportunity to grow and develop in a way that matches their personality, point of view, goals, and lifestyle to enhance their overall wellbeing.

At All Who Wander Counseling and Therapeutic Services it is my goal to provide a comfortable, non-judgemental, and safe environment where you can explore your past, examine your present, and build your future in a way that enhances your overall health and wellbeing.
